Technical advantages

Ultra-large Bandwidth and High Speed

With extremely high frequencies and abundant spectrum resources, 26GHz mmWave base stations can allocate up to 800 MHz of continuous bandwidth, while Sub-6 GHz base stations can only allocate 100-200 MHz. The peak rate of 26GHz mmWave base stations exceeds 10 Gbps, multiple times higher than that of Sub-6 GHz base stations.

Ultra-low Latency

The high-frequency characteristics of mmWave base stations enable ultra-low transmission latency. The air interface time slot length of mmWave systems can be as short as 0.125 ms, and with short time slot scheduling, air interface latency can be even lower. This low-latency feature meets the requirements of highly delay-sensitive applications such as industrial internet, autonomous driving, and virtual reality.

Beamforming

Utilizing phased array antenna elements and beamforming technology, mmWave base stations achieve high-gain directional transmission, enhancing signal coverage range while significantly reducing interference. This enables flexible and reliable communication while supporting denser cell deployment.

Integrated Sensing and Communication

mmWave base stations not only provide communication capabilities but also enable radar-like sensing functions. With narrow beams and excellent directionality, mmWave signals offer exceptional spatial resolution and temporal precision, enabling centimeter-level high-precision positioning.
